The built-in cradle was a nice touch too – it catches the split logs so you don’t have to bend over and pile them up, or worse, stop the machine to gather the logs that have fallen on the floor.

The Powerhorse Horizontal/Vertical Electric Log Splitter has a compact design so it’s easy to store. But be warned, this log splitter weighs 156 pounds. We also liked that it has copper wiring which should keep it serviceable in inclement weather.
