This one is pretty cut and dry. The Husqvarna 430x would be better for larger lawns of up to about 4,000 square feet while the Husqvarna 420 is better for lawns of no more than 2400 square feet.

Both the Husqvarna 430x and the Husqvarna 420 have a 9.4” cutting width and adjustable cutting height between 0.79 and 2.36 inches.
They both use a 3-blade rotary system and have modes for spot and spiral cutting.

If you have the money, we recommend going with the Husqvarna 430x.
It would also be the obvious choice if you have a larger yard to mow. Aside from that though, it just has better overall features that make it more convenient.
The Husqvarna 420 is a great choice for smaller lawns so don’t count it out entirely. They are both worth your consideration so there would be no harm in checking them both out depending on your mowing needs.
