The founder of Oakshell , Mika, very cleverly tested her product out in the market through Etsy and then started selling directly through her own website.

She told the story of how she developed the Oakshell headband due to needing to cover up her own mortifying hair loss after having her second child.

Their shop has a myriad of hairband options with plain colors and brightly hand-dyed options that include all the colors imaginable to match any outfit.
