Final Assessment

Stihl FS56 RC -3

While we really liked the fact that the Echo SRM-225 has a 17” cutting width, that was the only real advantage it had over the Stihl FS56 RC.

The Stihl FS56 RC is more comfortable because it vibrates less, is more affordable, gives you better reach and offers at least equal cutting power to the Echo SRM-225.

If you need to keep your yard and lawn looking tidy, we don’t really see any reason to choose the Echo SRM-225 over the Stihl FS56 RC.
