The handle also folds down in half so it’s easier to store. Overall this is a pretty compact little blower. It’s also lightweight so it’s easy to push along. Keep in mind that this is a gas-powered blower though so you will need to make sure the oil is changed at regular intervals.

The auger is also made of rubber so while there’s no damage threat when it comes into contact with a stick or rock, it lacks some power. If you typically deal with hard-packed snow, the rubber auger may not cut it – literally and figuratively.

However, this is an affordable blower that would be good for residential use. The fuel tank can hold about half a gallon of gas which is good for about an hour of operation. This is also a self-propelled blower in both directions: forward and reverse.

This would be a great blower for small to mid-sized driveways. There is also an LED headlight for clearing at night. Our only real gripe with this blower is that it has rubber auger blades.

The 8 inch, airless rear wheels make it easy to push this blower along and pivot when you need to. The chute can be adjusted 180 degrees so you can blow snow in either direction.

The auger will also stop spinning when you take your hand off of the auger trigger so it’s a very safe blower.

This is the PowerSmart blower for serious clearing. This blower has a steel, serrated auger so it’s definitely strong enough to chew through heavy snow and even small ice blocks.

This is a self-propelled snow blower in both reverse and forward settings so it’s pretty easy to operate overall. The large snow tires also give you good traction. It has a 24” clearing width and is suitable for clearing up to 20 inches of snow.

This thing is a beast but keep in mind that it has a runtime of about 40 minutes on a full charge. Speaking of charging, it takes about an hour and a half to fully charge the battery – your purchase does include the battery charger. Overall though, we were impressed with the power that this battery-operated snow blower offers.

You can also adjust the skid shoes based on the surface conditions you are dealing with. As far as battery-operated blowers go, you won’t find many more powerful than this one.

What impressed us the most about the PowerSmart BS26 Snow Blower was how smoothly it operated. This is a 2-stage blower which means it actively propels snow up to and out of the chute.

It also has a powerful 250cc engine so it would be good for larger properties and heavy snowfall. We also love the steel, serrated augers. The PowerSmart BS26 Snow Blower also has heated handles which we thought was a pretty nice quality of life feature.

Like PowerSmart, Ariens produces single and 2-stage snow blowers. They also make tread and wheeled blowers; just bear in mind that the tread snow blowers are built for commercial use and cost a pretty penny.

PowerSmart Snow Blowers Vs Husqvarna Snow Blowers

Husqvarna is known for making mostly commercial-use snow blowers. One of their best snow blowers is the ST430.
