The main difference comes when comparing air volume. The Echo PB-770 proves to be much better at moving large quantities of air at once. There are also differences in the features included in both of these blowers.

Key Differences Between the Echo PB-755 and the Echo PB-770

From the spec comparison above, you would have no idea that the Echo PB-770 is actually more capable of moving a large amount of leaves than the Echo PB-755.

That’s because the Echo PB-770 has an air volume rating of 756 CFM compared to the 651 CFm rating of the Echo PB-755.

However, the Echo PB-755 has a bit of an advantage in terms of mobility. That’s because the tube can rotate at the point where it is attached to the blower.

That means you have more maneuverability with side-to-side arm motions.

If you buy directly from Stihl you will pay around $480 for the Echo PB-755. The Echo PB-770 costs $530 when you buy from the manufacturer.

Weight & Handling Comparison

The difference in weight between these two blowers is negligible. However, we liked that the tube rotates and flexes very well on the Echo PB-755. It gave our operating arms more freedom to swing the tube about as needed.

Still, it’s hard to overlook the amazing air moving capacity of the Echo PB-770 when considering it weighs just 24.3lbs which is actually a hair lighter than the Echo PB-755.

Power Comparison

In terms of max air speed there isn’t much difference. However, we noticed that the Echo PB-770 was more adept at moving large quantities of dry leaves at once.

So if you are dealing with large, concentrated piles, the Echo PB-770 will help you get your raking and cleaning work done faster.

The engines are the same size between these two blowers; but the Echo PB-770 has a 756 CFM rating compared to the 651 CFM rating of the Echo PB-755.

Who Should Buy Each One?

We would actually recommend the Echo PB-770 to anyone who usually works in hot conditions because the vented back pad actually works to reduce sweat and discomfort while you’re working.

The Echo PB-755 would be more suitable for properties with just a few trees to deal with.

Final Assessment

Another thing we have to point out is that the more powerful Echo PB-770 is no louder than the Echo PB-755.

So the Echo PB-770 is the same size, same weight and same volume as the Echo PB-755 but it’s more powerful. This was an easy one.
